Tao Te Ching, by Lao Tsu, translated by Gia Fu Feng and Jane English with an extensive Introduction (Paperback, 25th Anniversary Version, approx. 8 1/2 x 11, 176 pp. Currently the most affordable 25th Anniversary Version on the internet!)

The Tao Te Ching, also known as Dao De Jing, is a Taoist Classic written by Lao Dan, a native of the state of Chu in the late Spring and Autumn period. The book consists of 81 chapters each of which has served as a source of enlightenment throughout time and whose words have been used by a variety of sages, world leaders, and others to frame or explain life's mysteries.

The Tao Te Ching is a record of Lao Dan's words on philosophy. It systematically expounds Lao Tsu's outlook of the roots of existence, politics, and society. "Tao" is the basic category of the universe that is independent of all other things, constantly changing, and cyclical. "Te," on the other hand, is the expansion of "Tao" and its application in everyday life. This translation is the one of the best ever in modern times. While many have tried to copy it, this one remains the most true to Lao Tsu's timeless words.

This is one of a kind version is one of the very best ever compiled. It features both Gia Fu Feng's expert, stellar calligraphy and Jane English's astute photographs, which both, in and of themselves, speak of Tao. An insightful, must have text for all practitioners of the internal arts and those who admire quality living. Also included is an insightful commentary by Chungliang Al Huang.
